A Spring Trip to the Windy City

We spent a fabulous weekend in Chicago celebrating one or our college friend's wedding. It was a beautiful 3 day traditional Indian wedding. Erik was something to the equivalent of a groomsmen and helped lead the processional dancing to Indian music while the groom, Sharran, came in on a white horse. We loved how the wedding was so much more than the joing of a man and a woman, it was also a celebrating the joining of their families. The decorations were eleborate, the settings were romantic, the food was delicious, and the time with old college friends was priceless.

We also had the opportunity to catch up with Erik's cousin, Stephanie, while we were in Chicago. It was fun to meet her husband and see her new apartment. We walked and walked and walked and saw a lot of neat things. Our normally cautious little girl saw a ferris wheel in the distance and asked if she could ride it. We thought this little sign of bravery needed to be reinforced, and it just so turns out mom and dad also thought the views would be amazing, which they were!
