After Olivia's gymnastics class, we had a quick supper, so that we could move onto baths and bedtime. Apparently it was a little too quick for Soren. He climbed up on the table and got an orange out of the fruit bowl and started chomping away. He was so proud of himself that he had peeled it. He is becoming Mr. Independent and wants to try to do everything "by self." After he tries for awhile, then he is more open- minded to a helping hand.

Worship Songs!

As I was cleaning up lunch, I heard Olivia singing a variety of songs that we sing during Kidz Rock Worship at our church. My heart was immediately warmed watching Olivia teach these songs to a sleepy Soren. I didn't want her to see me with the camera, so I tried to stay a little further back, so sorry for the "grainyness" of my zoom. I also love how this is three different songs rolled into one! "I am trading my sorrows.....trust in the Lord with all your heart...have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous." My hope and prayer is that these words move past just words and take hold in their hearts.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Olivia was so excited for her Valentine's party at school this week. She wrote all the names of all of the kids in her class on their cards. This was a test of patience, but doing a few every day didn't make it seem quite so difficult. She was pretty excited about her accomplishment when she finished. She was also pretty excited about making sugar cookies to bring to her party at school, she of course, had to make sure they were fit for her friends at school. She approved!

Soren is always jumping!

Soren is always jumping, hence he has earned an affection name of our little jumping bean. He really prefers to jump on the couch, bed, crib, from chair to automon, but we have been trying to encourage other means of jumping. He brought the bathroom scale out into the living room, and what should one do with this apparatus? Why, jump on it, of course!
